hari raya in brunei!

Assalamualaikumwarahmatullahhiwabarakatuh,

its Nazurah Pg Metussin and typing bout how i spent hari raya so far. well, hmm... its a lot different when az s not here.bored all the time. but hey, i took a lot of super amazing pictures! when open house, nada papa and hey i even got the chance to hari raya around delima(at grandparents) and me, buamit babu timah and alot more cousins went walking around it and go hari raya! haha! yeah... pictures time!!

Assalamualaikum everyone :)

I can't believe I had my Hari Raya celebration in Loughborough, UK. Celebrating Hari Raya without my family and not in my country is beyond what i can imagine. I feel really sad as I won't be celebrating the Eid Mubarak with my family. Normally, I would wake up early and dressed up. Help my maid cut the cakes and then we'll head to our grandparents house. But beforethat we always took pictures in the living room. Here, i don't see any coulurful lights on each houses at night. sigh.

However, having to celebrate the Raya here is not all that bad. Eventhough, it's quiet but we still celebrate it. We dressed up in baju kurongs and for the guys in cara melayu. We went to Uncle Bahri's open house and eat kuih and foods. Then five of us Me, Fizah, Aziz, Rahimi and Zul head to town in our Raya baju. How bizzare is that?? HAHAHA. Everyone was looking at us. But we just don't care. It's Hari Raya. There are soem pictures below and there are more on facebook. Enjoy ;)

Uncle Bahri invited some friends over. Dayat is a student whos taking his Alevel here. Aunty Asma just arrived with her children. They will eb studying at Loughborough college too. Roger was there celebrating hari raya with us.

On the next day, Fizah and I went to school to meet our tutors but unfortunately they're still busy. So we had to the nearby doctor and register for NHS. We meet up Aziz and Rahimi in town. We figured our way to use the bus and head to the train station to make our railway card.

At the bus stop, Catherine from the International office called and ask us for enrolment (make our student id). So we went back to school to make our id :) Then we went to Aziz's and Rahimi's house which is near our house. Barutah kami balik and i cooked Ayam Masak Merah for them all :)


Yesterday, wich is 22nd September. We had our team building activity day at Beaumanor Hall. It was fun as i get to make new friends and meet my classmates. There's only six of us in the class including me. And apparently for the first time ever, im the smallest in my class. HAHAHA.

The spider web activity. Let me just quote what matt said "Some has to crawl under, and some has to go on the side but we will have to carry Az because she's the smallest".

 Well apparently, he's not joking. And they did carry me from the other side to the other side. i got carried by four quarterbacks. "Rezeki jangan di tolak" hehehe. =P joking joking. I still wish Muizz was the one who carried me :)

Oh well, thats about it. Will update more soon :)

Loughborough -Az

Assalamualaikum everyone :)

My new world in Loughborough has been treating me well. Thanks to Uncle Pg Bahri and Aunty Izan (Zul's uncle and aunty). They had been giving us tour, help us with all the guide we need in loughborough. Thank you so much. Really appreciates it :)

It was really cold outside eventhough it people of Loughborough think it's warm. This is the front view of where i stayed in Loughborough. It's alright, homey, peaceful, just average :)

After a long day walking to town and around town, we went home. Then we ordered Mazin Chicken and asked them to deliver our order to our place. HAHAHA. All i can is that "Di Brunei pulang jarang kan delivery, di sini taj pulang. HAHAHAHA.". We had pizza, 15 spicy chicken, 4 not spicy chicken, onion rings, two burgers and a bottle of coke.

The night before Hari Raya. We went to Tesco. haha. Shopping for some stuffs. Surprisingly, the guys bought more than the girls. hehe. The tesco here is twice the size of Giant. The prices of the goods is not so cheap but it's not expensive either. It's just right. :)

I think we'll be just fine ;)

The day I leave Brunei 150909 -Az

At Brunei Hall. After the long hour journey from Brunei to UK.

The first dinner/bersungkai at our home in loughborough :)

After the whole dramatic and emotional moments that i've been through in at home and airport. I finally made my way to the the door and didn't look behind. It's hard leaving all the love ones behind, its hard leaving everything but this is my new challenge and a brand new journey for me.

The flight was okay. Although, it was raining when we took off from Brunei to Dubai. Its hard for me to sleep because the chair won't tilt all the way back. I did watch 'Angel and Demons' on the flight to throw away all the boredom. I think it was a good movie :) In Dubai, we had to transit straight away.

The flight from Dubai to London was attacked with many turbulence. I watched 'Kung Fu Chefs'. It's a really funny movie although i think it 'OVER!'. When we landed, hell begun! The first year student and dependents had to line up in the same line at the immigration. Gila eh!!! we had to squeeze in with alot of black people, indians and few asians. We had to queue up for three damn hours. When i reached the counter, it only took around a minute. -.-" BUT we had to lined up for 3 hours!!! How crazy is that????

We a bus to pick us up form the airport and to Brunei Hall. It was a brand new world i tell you. The buildings, the cars, the people and everything. I stayed at Brunei Hall for a night and im in the same room ad Izzah, Fizah and Zatti. It was fun. We joked, walked around, made oyster card, bought UK line and SUBWAY ;) awesome!!! haha. Don't worry, it's halal :)

The next day, we rent a van to send us (seven of us) to LOUGHBOROUGH. So far, Loughborough is very peaceful, homey, lovely and just right for me :) Will filled up all the details again soon.

I miss my family and cousins :( and i miss my boyfriend :(

its the beggining part two which is written by me, Nazurah Pg Metussin. The little sister... and hey i am going to be an only child after this =P So, making the blog was actually my idea it is from my " To do list before leaving" and it is part of it =P

Why ditd we nama it  sisters forever? Az's idea was to make it sisters for life but i disagree because what if we die? i mean it's not a curse but sisters forever is way much better =P
what's the story bout the blog? nothing yet... we wanted to upoad a blog skin but we failed =P

The Beginning

Assalamualaikum everyone,

Today, 30th August 2009 is the first time 'flowersonthewater' is created. I hope this will help with he communication between me and my sister and also my beloved family. It's 16 days before UK now. I am having mix feeling about it. I can't wait to go but at the same time I don't want to leave my love ones behind. It's going to be super hard but..

"Life without a challenge, is not life after all'.

We just have to live up the dreams ;)
